Thoughts from my head no. 2

Mind games. They never cease to amaze me. A great example of mind games is Facebook; people tricking people into believing stuff about people who do things that are intended to trick people. It's mind blowing! The amount of energy that goes into creating a piece of information about yourself that will only be used to add on to the already ginormous wall of fake stuff that you've created in front of yourself until it just becomes routine is such. A. Waste. Of. Carbon.
However, I'm going into my "fake people" rant. Another day.
Basically, when you see someone's Facebook status, take the time to examine it. Firstly, who are they? That alone is enough to know whether to go on to secondly. Secondly, what are their most common intentions? Do you know what they are? Okay, now throw that out the window. Those aren't their real intentions! They're just trying to trick their own brains into believing that all this junk they create about themselves is real! (Ugh, we've reached "fake people" again... oh well.) Another example of mind games: the fact that I am acknowledging that mind games exist is a mind game within itself. I am attempting to get people to believe that I know more than I really do, and some people will look at Level 1 and be like, "Wow, that's really cool." Other people will head to Level 2 and be like, "She's so pretentious." And lastly, there will be those who skip 1 and 2 and jump right onto Level 3, "She don't really think like that, she's just saying that to make people think she knows more than she really does..." (<--that one is totally me, by the by) ... which will lead to other people examining what THAT person said and doing Levels 1, 2, and 3 and the whole process continues! Modern society has become a never ending cycle of mind games. Actually, maybe it's been like this all along. Where is the truth in the world?! Is there no honesty left? Was there any honesty to begin with?!

Rantrantrantrantrant!!!

MyLifeIsInsanelyCrazyAhhhhh

Whaa? It's already December?? I'm uber confused.

Well, this post could alternatively be called "Procrastinating" because that's kind of what I'm doing right now. **I don't want to write my paper.**

Since October 1st, I have started rehearsals for ballets, gone trick-or-treating, become a year older, gotten A's on tests, and many other things. 'Tis now December 6th, and the Nutcracker is in four days, and I'm leaving for the other side of the world in ten days.

I don't really have anything meaningful to say. This can just be an update kind of post.

Maybe I'll start rating things... I know people that have blogs that do that. Although, I don't really read enough new books or watch enough new movies or keep up with enough news to say anything that might be helpful, so maybe I won't.

Ah! I've thought of something to say:
Hypocrisy.
According to Google, "The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense." I know some of the most hypocritical people in the universe. It's so annoying, and people just don't seem to get it when they do it, and I probably do it a lot, but I really try hard not to, and it's just frustrating when other people seemingly do not try to not be a hypocrite. Especially when it's your superior, and you feel the need to respect them, but they're being a hypocrite, so you find it really hard, and everything's just... bleh.

Lesson of the day: Don't be a hypocrite.
That's all I have to say. Ciao.

PS Just kidding, that's not the only thing I have to say: Italian is the new Spanish--use it!

English and Pet Peeves

I find it immensely amusing that the English language has become so shapeless and sloppy that if someone happens to drop an "Indeed" or an "I suppose so" they immediately get a funny look or a chuckle. In comparison to how people spoke in the early 1800s, it's almost sad.
I wonder if we shall ever find ourselves in a world that speaks with dignity and education? We are humans, aren't we? Aren't we supposed to be an intelligent species? Not one that constantly says, "No, but like--"
One of my biggest pet peeves ever is the "No but like" phrase. I can't tell you how much I hate this phrase. The saddest part is, I continue to use it. **shudders**
Starting now I will list some of my biggest pet peeves:
PP#1: "No, but like--"

In an unrelated story, it is officially autumn! Well, technically it's been autumn for about a week and a half now, so... Rephrase! *It is officially October! :)
Which means one month until November.
Which means one month until NaNoWriMo.
Now, I am seriously doubting that NaNoWriMo will manage to squeeze itself into my already alarmingly filled schedule, but nonetheless, it is fun to plan for it ^-^
This year I'm going for a Sci-Fi as a nod to my somewhat recent obsession with Doctor Who. Don't worry, it's not a fan-fic, or even a spin-off--actually, it doesn't really have anything to do with space, time, or handsome men in classy clothes. Okay, wait, there are one or two men--but anyway, the only similarity that it could possibly have to DW is that it involves another world/dimension thing. I am not quite sure what to call it, but it is not Earth. Oh and it does involve young blonde girls and some British stuff. Hey, wait...
PP#2: Fan-Fiction. Ugh.
The smiley faces that I can make with this font make the smile look particularly happy...

Annoying people... among other things.

They're everywhere. Walking down the street, in your psychology class, living in your house--it's inevitable; annoying people will find you one way or another.
Unfortunately, I have a few harrassing me as of late.
They're like leeches. Exploding leeches. They grab on to you, completely unaware, and they just don't let go. And you can't just pull 'em off, because then you'll explode, and then you'll die. So, the matter of annoying people is puzzling. How do we deal with them? Do we deal with them at all? Does it depend on the leech's situation, or do we treat them all the same? It's tough.
Fortunately, there are some anti-leech protesters in our lives. Those people that make you happy, and are happy because of you, and you have mutual interests--those anti-leech protesters.
If it weren't for those ALPs, I don't know what I would do.
I think it's interesting how those people that I consider leeches probably consider me a leech. Perspective is so interesting. Isn't is cool how everything human relations-related boils down to perspective? I love that.

So it has dawned upon me that because of the wonderful world of perspective, some things that I say might not make sense to you, dear reader. That's okay... just don't think I'm a freak.
Are you grateful for the APLs in your life? Have you told them lately?

Thoughts from my head no. 1

I often like to separate my mind into certain sections. My 'school' section tends to be on the right, my 'extracurricular' is usually on the left, the 'knowledge of good and evil' is in the front, 'imagination' is in the back, and everything else is squeezed in there somewhere. Now, let's pretend that within these sections there are offices, and within these offices there are filing cabinets, and within those there are--yes--files. Now if each thought that I--or for that matter, anyone--had counted for a file, I think we can agree that there would be a copious amount of files.
Get it? Good. Moving on.
Now, somewhere in one of those nameless sections, deep in a filing cabinet, pushed all the way in the back of the drawer, is a file called "The World Revolves Around Me." Everyone has this file tucked away somewhere, and if you don't believe me, keep reading. And if you do believe me, you keep reading too.
Actually, stop. See if you fit the following criteria:
- if you were a character in a book or movie, you would be the main character, and your friends would be the side characters.
- when you think about possible outcomes to situations, you think mostly about the one that will benefit you--even if it benefits others, it probably benefits you somehow.
Point is, people think about themselves a lot. Something interesting is that other people also think about themselves a lot. Basically, everyone is the main character to their own story, and their friends are the side characters--when in fact those side characters have their own story.
This can be weird from your point of view, because if you look back at the way you view the world, did you ever think about the fact that there is someone else in Siberia who has sibling problems too? Also has a crush on their friend? Also hates their boss? (Wait, don't use that one, a lot of people hate their bosses.) Did you ever consider the world? The people? The lives? The lies? The love? Everything? Have you ever considered what the end of the universe looks like? Do you ever wonder if there is an end to the universe? Have you ever thought about tomorrow looking like another day on the calender to one person, but looking like a black void of opportunity and wonder to someone else? Have you ever wondered why we wonder these things?
Just something to think about.

Starting Fresh.

Hello,

As you may or may not have noticed, I have taken an extremely long holiday from my blog. I think this is because it never really was a blog in the first place, just a random place for my random thoughts. Now, nothing has really changed, it is still a random place for my random thoughts, but I think now those random thoughts will have some actual thought in them.

So, I'm back! What's new? I'm in college now, I understand more than I did previously, and I love Doctor Who.
If you follow, that's fine, if not, that's fine too.
Goodbye.

My new laptop :D

Soo...... I got a Macbook!
The three most wonderful things about it?

A) It is beautiful.

B) It is wonderful.

C) It is my new best friend :D

I am sooo excited about it! *Gasp!* "It" I say, when I know very well his name is Absolem II :D (Because he is all knowing and pretty much awesome in every way)
The means by which I got this laptop were very interesting.
Once upon a time, I had a laptop. This was a fantastical, old Dell laptop that used to belong to my mom, but she got a Macbook Pro, so she handed it down to me.
At first I was skeptical; unsure of it's monstrous size and inability to load pages in less than five seconds. But eventually, I grew to love this old Dell--whose name, I realized, was DudeMan, due to the fact that that's what I called it whenever I was frustrated with it. It held every wonderful short story I had every written, had been with me through thick and thin, and had all of my favorites on this awesome little sidebar that Macs don't have :(
However, it was too good to last.
Slowly but surely, this amazing laptop began to fade. His charger stopped working, so I knew it was only a matter of time before he..... passed on *sniffle*.
Though I was depressed, I was not out of my wits. I was sure to save all of the important files to a fantastic little jump drive that I found on a shelf above our old computer.
Of course, DudeMan eventually failed me, dying in my arms. I tried to revive him once more, but alas, it was too late.
So naturally I decided that it was time to find a new laptop, eventually deciding on a marvelous looking Dell that I found on--believe it or not--Dell.com.
I began saving up for it, acquiring money any way I could, even selling old school books on eBay. When one day....
My grandmother called!
She and my dad use Skype all the time, and she happened to call one night, merely asking if there was anything we needed for school, because she would be willing to pay for it! The answer to my prayers! So, it came yesterday, and I am so happy :D

I Finished Lost!

Well, the title says it all! I finally, after weeks of questions and cliff hangers and dramatic elements, have finished Lost.
There is a sad sense of loss, now that it's over. A feeling of, "Oh, now life is pointless." But never fear! If you have yet to finish Lost, and a feeling of dread has come over you as you impatiently yet in fear await the season six finale, there is life outside of the Lost world! You just have to believe!
I cried a couple of times last night as my mom and I watched those last few episodes. I won't go into much detail in courtesy of my fellow bloggers who are also watching Lost, but let me tell you that it's epic.
I still have questions, even after it's over, which is seriously frustrating, as it's OVER. Ah well, J.J. Abrams is like, the master of awesome TV series. Anyone seen Alias? He made that too, and everyone should watch it :)
